Before the eldest tymes,when earth is young,

The elder race shall come from out ye nyght.

Across ye cosmic gulf shall come theyr flight.

New caretures come from Yith,ye starry flod’e.

To conquer them,and drive them in ye cave.

And seal ye gateways ones of theyr cavern-grave.
将那入口封入死亡之窟。
These are ye greatests ones of thy storie.
在这阶层之中，其居最首。
For neither death nor time may ever see
未见于时间，亦未曾死亡，
Thery end;for they shall coquer both and be,
然其终结，其由亦源于战败，
Beyond theyr claym, and live enternalie.
超于肉体，居于永恒。

Yet on this earth shall be such antient thynges,

As war upon them,led by elder kynges.
然古老者之王降战于其上。
Who homage do to Tsathoggua;

Just as in latter days shall olde Crom-ya.
恰如稍后岁月里的古老的克罗姆-雅。（注2）
And other races from ye sky shall come,
其他的种族亦自天空而来，
To challenge great-ones place,and then succumb
挑战着原神之位，继而消亡
To latter races still, who make theyr way
后者继之，然谁给予其道路，
From distant worlds to enter in ye fray.
自那遥远之世陷入争端。
（注2：公元前15000年：西梅里安人在酋长克罗姆-雅的领导下，开始了一段种族的光辉史。克罗姆-雅后来被神化为族神克罗姆。 ）
And whyle Great-race lingers on ye land,
当伟大种族残存于大陆之时，
Ye great ones come from Yuggoth’s antient hand
伟大者们自犹格斯的古代之手而来，（注3）
To build anew theyr nation and theyr art,

For they shall be ye ownes who temples start

To auncient gods; ye same that we do know,

Whych came with them before ye polar snow

Hath covered all theyr landes; and destroyed
已覆盖其之大陆，继而毁灭。（注5）
Them,leaving earth of learned lyfe devoid.
它们将于净世后离开这大地。

因为译的是苏赛克斯手稿，比较晦涩，而且夹杂着一些古英语，所以可能精确度会另诸君失望了，个人特别喜欢这一篇。深感歉意。
